Tara Atanasoff, OD (VA)
Dr. Tara Atanasoff is an optometrist at the Milo C. Huempfner VA Health Care Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She earned her biology degree from the University of Minnesota and completed her Doctor of Optometry at the Michigan College of Optometry in 2003. She began her career in private practice in her hometown of Iron River, Michigan, before joining the Appleton, WI VA in 2006. She later played a pivotal role in launching the Green Bay Eye Clinic in 2013 where she continues to practice today.
Dr. Atanasoff has authored multiple optometry publications and serves as an adjunct professor at the Indiana University School of Optometry, the Illinois College of Optometry, and Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry. She serves as a COPE Reviewer for the Association of Regulatory Boards of Optometry and is a Master Training Facilitator for the National Center for Patient Safety. She is also the co-chair of the AFOS State Legislative Committee and an active member of the American Optometric Association.
Outside of her professional work, she enjoys boating, skiing, paddle boarding, running, Pilates, and spending time with her husband, Nick, and their two daughters, Isabelle and Alexandra, at their lake cottage in Upper Michigan.
