Who Nominates |
The nomination is typically written by member’s senior officer, but may be written by anyone who knows the member’s qualifications. |

15 NOVEMBER : All submissions must be e-mailed to Dr. Carol Rymer at carol.rymer@us.army.mil The award recipients and nominees will be notified the first week of JANUARY to allow planning for the award ceremony at SECO in February. |

5 Active AFOS optometrists who have been members of AFOS for at least 2 years. These members are selected from various branches of service. |
AFOS executive council votes on the nomination. Maximum of 3 recipients per year. |
